YG’s Global Project, All 12 Members of ‘TREASURE’ Revealed
[이데일리=강경록 기자] The first individual posters for all members of YG’s rookie group ‘TREASURE’ have been revealed.
On July 25, YG Entertainment uploaded the intro posters of MASHIHO·ASAHI·BANG YE DAM·YOSHI·YOON JAE HYUK·DOYOUNG through their official blog in sequential order. They’ve revealed posters for all members of TREASURE following the previously revealed posters for 6 members (CHOI HYUN SUK·JUNKYU·SO JUNG HWAN·JIHOON·HARUTO·PARK JEONG WOO).
The members grabbed the people’s attention with their fierce eyes and relaxed looks, uncommonly seen among rookies. Phrases ‘THE FIRST STEP’ and ‘2020.08.07’ meaning TREASURE’s first step were marked on top of the member names in addition to a shining TREASURE logo.
YG has recently notified the beginning of a major project through TREASURE’s debut concept teaser clip. The clip connected TREASURE’s identity with innovational incidents which contributed to the growth of mankind, expressing TREASURE’s will as they make their first step towards the global music industry.
With the narration, “This one step will change everything”, a light collecting all 12 members spread out to cover the entire earth. This symbolic message was named as the ‘TREASURE effect’.
TREASURE is a boy group being presented by YG in approximately 4 years since BLACKPINK. Their average age is 19 and is a skilled group with not only great singing and dancing skills, but also with producing abilities.
The group has been closely connecting with the global fans through various video contents including ‘TREASURE MAP’, ‘A 3 Minute TREASURE’, and ‘Dance Performance’ videos. As a result, TREASURE’s YouTube channel currently has approximately 1.3M subscribers and a total of over 100M accumulated views.
TREASURE, regarded as the biggest rookies of K-Pop in 2020, is receiving a lot of attention prior to their official debut since they are a group being presented by YG that directly targets the global market.
