[한국경제TV=유병철 기자] YG’s rookie group TREASURE will finally make comeback on the 11th. They will release their official debut album ‘THE FIRST STEP : TREASURE EFFECT’, briefing the group’s brilliant history of their non-stop activities for the past 5 months.
On January 11, YG Entertainment uploaded TREASURE’s THE FIRST STEP : TREASURE EFFECT’ D-DAY poster through their official blog. Furthermore, they began the album release counter, notifying that the leap by the ‘global super rookies’ to a new and bigger world is now imminent.
The members of TREASURE dressed in purple suits on a stage with glamorous flower decorations and bright lights grabbed the viewers’ attention. The photo is known to have been taken on the MV set of their upcoming title track, ‘MY TREASURE’. The mystic and fantastic vibe seems like it represents TREASURE’s hopeful future in 2021.
TREASURE is expected to present their endless possibilities and broad musical spectrum through their debut album ‘THE FIRST STEP : TREASURE EFFECT’.
TREASURE, who has been challenging various genres from ‘BOY’ with the group’s teen-crush charms to ‘I LOVE YOU’ with a rollercoaster of emotions and ‘MMM’ which was released even before the heat from their previous singles cooled down, has noticed that they will release a bright and exciting Pop song for the first time.
Their title track ‘MY TREASURE’ is a song that will cheer up the listeners and make them feel better in these hard times. They lyrics of ‘MY TREASURE’ including ‘Better days will shine’, ‘We’ll eventually shine’, and ‘Don’t ever lose your smile’ revealed through teaser posters have already comforted the hearts of numerous fans, leading to positive reviews.

CHOI HYUN SUK·YOSHI·HARUTO were credited as lyricists of ‘MY TREASURE’ and added sincerity to the song with the message, ‘Everyone in this world is a TREASURE-like being’.
TREASURE’s ‘THE FIRST STEP : TREASURE EFFECT’ digital album will contain 10 songs, while the physical album contains 12 songs. There are 3 all-new tracks including the title track ‘MY TREASURE’ along with ‘BE WITH ME’ and ‘SLOWMOTION’, placed as tracks no. 1~3.
