“Stronger Than the Debut Single”… YG TREASURE Opens New Coming Soon Poster→Fast Speed
[OSEN=이승훈 기자] YG’s rookie group TREASURE announced the release of a new single, lighting up their global popularity at a fast pace.
On September 1, YG Entertainment uploaded TREASURE’s ‘THE FIRST STEP : CHAPTER TWO’ coming soon poster through their official blog.
The heart shape painted with pink watercolor paint in the white background grabbed the viewers’ attention. Information other than the ‘COMING SOON’ phrase were not revealed, raising the curiosities on the hidden meaning of the poster.
While the popularity towards TREASURE is still heated, the group is expected to make a glamorous comeback in September. YG has previously noticed that TREASURE is filming their MV and revealed, “The new song will be stronger than their debut track ‘BOY’”.
TREASURE is YG’s rookie group presented in 4 years since BLACKPINK, who has received attention as a group targeting the global market from the start. Composed of 12 members including CHOI HYUN SUK, JIHOON, YOSHI, JUNKYU, MASHIHO, YOON JAE HYUK, ASAHI, BANG YE DAM, DOYOUNG, HARUTO, PARK JEONG WOO, and SO JUNG HWAN, the group debuted on August 7.
Their title song ‘BOY’ from their debut single album ‘THE FIRST STEP : CHAPTER ONE’ topped iTunes Song charts in 19 countries, topped the daily chart of Line Music, which is the biggest music platform in Japan, and even topped China QQ Music’s Top Rising chart. They also achieved over 200 thousand album sales, proving themselves as the biggest rookie K-Pop group who has made debut this year.
While receiving positive reviews with their sturdy musical talents, performance skills, and even friendliness to the public, the people are looking forward to what kind of growth and activities TREASURE will present through their upcoming single.
Meanwhile, TREASURE met their global fans through their first-ever ‘Lie down live’ broadcast held on Naver V App yesterday(31st) at 10 PM. The broadcast gathered 1.25M viewers and 240M hearts(likes) despite being a late hour show.
