YG TREASURE Challenges on Making Pizza·Chicken… Self-Sufficient Life Full of Laughter
[OSEN=지민경 기자] YG’s rookie group TREASURE challenged on cooking pizza and chicken after successfully cooking potato sujebi.
On ‘TREASURE Map’ season 2 episode 43 uploaded on the 23rd, the members of TREASURE struggled to cook their final dinner of the ‘three meals a day’ challenge.
After eating potato sujebi as lunch, TREASURE enjoyed their own versions of slow life. Most members took a nap, while YOON JAE HYUK, ASAHI, and PARK JEONG WOO emitted country boy vibes while exploring an abandoned house and riding bikes.
After a sweet break, it was time to prepare dinner. The menu was chicken and pizza. DOYOUNG and SO JUNG HWAN were selected as the chicken team, while CHOI HYUN SUK, JUNKYU, YOSHI, and BANG YE DAM were selected as the chefs of the pizza team.
The chicken team showed off their fairly skilled hands as they made slits, sprinkled salt, pepper, and added frying powder. The other members presented a special performance to cheer the team. From JUNKYU and HARUTO’s freestyle singing and rapping to ASAHI’s cute mime dance and MASHIHO’s trot performance, the members made the viewers burst into laughter with their music broadcast-like tension and performances.
In the meantime, they began frying chicken. The great visuals and sounds gathered attention of the members, and they gathered one by one in front of the grill to watch. However, the chicken was uncooked on the inside and burnt on the outside, which shocked the members.
Due to the failed outcome of the chicken team, TREASURE turned their attention to the pizza team. After placing toppings on top of the dough, CHOI HYUN SUK placed the pizza on top of the grill. However, after sensing an odd smell, he checked the pizza and revealed his frustration with a sigh and stated, “It’s burnt…”.
After failing their dinner preparations, TREASURE made simple pizza toast. When their 3 hours of hard work ended with simple finger food, the members were full of frustration. The staff members who felt pity ordered franchise chicken and pizza for the members, and the scene again became full of liveliness, making the fans smile.
TREASURE is expanding their popularity by connecting with the global fans through various contents including music broadcast activities. Their recently released Japanese debut album ‘THE FIRST STEP : TREASURE EFFECT’ won 5 titles on Japan’s major weekly albums charts including the Oricon·Line Music·Billboard Japan, which are all known for their credibility and popularity.
