iKON’s ‘KILLING ME’ M/V Reaches 200 million Views

[스포티비뉴스=김원겸 기자] The M/V for iKON’s ‘KILLING ME’ reached 200 million views on YouTube.

According to YG Entertainment on the 6th, the M/V for iKON’s ‘KILLING ME’ reached 200 million views as of 10:52 a.m.

This is another M/V added to their M/V list of more than 200 million views including ‘LOVE SCENARIO’ which reached more than 500 million views.

‘KILLING ME’ is the title song of iKON’s mini album ‘NEW KIDS: CONTINUE’ which was released in August 2018. It’s a song that portrays the sadness and lonely feeling after a breakup with a vintage piano tone, riff composed of sophisticated pluck synth, and melody creating perfect harmony.

The song earned many meaningful results on various global charts at the time of release. Not only did it top domestic music sites, but it also took the first spot on China’s KuGou Music K-POP New Song’s Chart and the 2nd spot on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales Chart.

Regarding ‘KILLING ME’, U.S. Billboard said “It’s different to existing K-POP music. It keeps lingering in your head”. It also added “The soft vocals and rough rap takes over the ears of those listening right away”.

Meanwhile iKON made their debut in 2015 and created a number of hits including ‘KILLING ME’, ‘LOVE SCENARIO’, ‘MY TYPE’, ‘APOLOGY’, ‘RHYTHM TA’, ‘Why Why Why’ and is maintaining their popularity as one of the representative K-POP groups.
