iKON Was Perfect From Vocals, Rap to Visuals…Unveils Choreography Video for ‘BUT YOU’
[OSEN=이승훈 기자] The choreography video for ‘BUT YOU’, iKON’s 4th mini-album title song, has been unveiled on the 7th.
As the clip was filmed using a one-take method, their dynamic movements and perfect chemistry could be seen at once. Global fans are showing enthusiastic responses, as the clip shows every single movement of the choreography, which is usually hard to see on music shows or music videos.
In particular, iKON’s perfectly synchronized moves along with skilled controlling of strengths stood out. Their dynamic yet soft body movements stole the hearts of viewers, and viewers could not help but fall into the clip as the performance was full of energy and reminded of a musical piece.
The point choreography that expressed the lyrics of the second verse, and the formation that kept changing were also impressive. iKON added their very own color to the performance, such as their hip gestures and facial expressions, allowing viewers to concentrate even more to their performance.
‘BUT YOU’ is a synthwave genre which reinterpreted pop music from the 1980s with a modern sound. It portrays the emotions of not being able to get over one’s ex-lover. Even though it’s a genre the boys have never tried before, favorable reviews have been pouring in as their vocals, rap, choreography and visuals created perfect harmony with the song.
Meanwhile, ‘BUT YOU’ has been gaining global popularity by taking over major music sites in both Korea and Japan such as Line Music, Rakuten Music, AWA, Bugs, and Naver Vibe. Their 4th mini-album [FLASHBACK] was released on the 3rd, and topped iTune’s Worldwide Album Chart.
