Psy unable to hold his first #1 trophy on Music Core as he’s in the U.S.
The trophy was given to a now global star Psy as he ranked No.1 for the first time on MBC’s Show! Music Core.
On the show that was aired on April 27, his new song “Gentleman” was nominated as the best song, up against another singers Cho Yong-pil’s “Bounce” and K.Will’s “Love Blossom.” However, “Gentleman” was able to achieve triumph despite close competition.
But as Psy was unavailable to personally receive the trophy since he left for the United States on April 25 for the promotion of his new song “Gentleman,” MBC instead aired Psy’s new song that is recorded at his exclusive concert dubbed Happening held on April 13 at Seoul Sangam World Cup Stadim.
On the day Psy ranked No.1, other artists like SHINee, Four Minute, Teen Top, Davichi, Infinite, K.Will, Lee Hi, Juniel, Geeks, Electroboyz and History also performed in the show.
