YG TREASURE’s 6-city Arena Tour Sells Out…320,000 Reservations Poured In
[OSEN=지민경 기자] YG mega rookie group TREASURE’s arena tour in Japan completely sold out, once again proving their popularity in the country.
According to YG Entertainment on thhe 31st, TREASURE’s 6-city arena tour in Japan set to be held in November for 17 times sold out immediately after reservations began.
A total of 155,000 tickets were prepared for the concert, but approximately 320,000 reservations were made, creating a fierce competitive scene to secure seats. Requests are pouring in from fans for extra concerts as they unfortunately weren’t able to make reservations.
Considering the fact that this was the largest tour scale of a K-POP artist who’s never been to Japan since debut, this feat is extremely meaningful. Local performance officials are also paying attention to the group due to such unexpected enthusiastic response.
Even though TREASURE couldn’t hold any particular activities in Japan due to COVID-19 restrictions, they saw explosive growth just with their music and video content.
From their debut song ‘BOY’, to ‘I LOVE YOU’, ‘MMM’, ‘MY TREASURE’, and ‘JIKJIN’, all their title songs they’ve released so far took over major Japan music charts.
Also, their track-song ‘DARARI’ and ‘Going Crazy’, which was the signal song for ‘YG TREASURE BOX’, and ‘BEAUTIFUL’, which was the them song for Japanese animation ‘Black Clover’, also garnered great popularity in the nation just as much as the title-song, contributing to the expansion of global fans.
Their popularity is expected to soar even higher since there’s still around 6 months till their first Japanese tour performance, and as they made their summer comeback official.
YG had recently said “The title-song has already been set, and once the schedule for their recording and choreography practice gets fixed, they plan on shooting the M/V”.
They then added, “Fans were very upset they couldn’t cheer and sing along with the group due to COVID-19 restrictions, and members also said they wanted to interact with domestic fans more, and we’re positively reviewing the possibility of holding another concert”.
