‘Comeback D-2’ TREASURE Reveals ‘MY TREASURE’ MV Teaser
[한경닷컴=이준현 기자] YG’s rookie group TREASURE revealed their MV teaser for the title song ‘MY TREASURE’ from their upcoming official debut album on January 9, 2 days prior to their comeback.
Despite being a short 35-second clip, it was clearly shown that the MV concept will remind the viewers of a fairy tale fantasy. The partial melody of ‘MY TREASURE’ was also revealed, grabbing the eyes and ears of global fans.
The intro began with a beautiful piano melody. The MV story going back and forth between reality and fantasy unfolded as the story progressed, while the exciting sounds that came out with the full-scale variation made the listeners’ shoulders move.
The phrase ‘You’re the only one TREASURE’ which seemed to be the killing part of the song hit the peak of the track, leaving a strong impression. The teaser has raised the fans’ curiosities and anticipation on the full version of ‘MY TREASURE’ to the max.
While musical-like glossy colors grabbed the viewers’ attention throughout, TREASURE’s dreamlike yet bright mood was the highlight of the video. The members pulled off various concepts perfectly, presenting explosive charisma.
The title of the book used as a prop for the MV, ‘HOLD OUT HOPE’, also grabbed the people’s attention. It made the people look forward to the message of ‘MY TREASURE’ and detailed production made on the MV.
TREASURE has previously introduced the main 12 sentences from the lyrics of their title song ‘MY TREASURE’ through individual member lyric posters. Warm sentences such as ‘Fresh as you woke up from a dream’, ‘Better days will shine’, ‘We’ll eventually shine’, and ‘Don’t ever lose your smile’ have comforted numerous fans, leading to positive reviews.
‘MY TREASURE’ is TREASURE’s first attempt on a bright mood Pop genre song. YG has previously described the song by stating, “The song’s lyrics contains meaning that everyone is a unique treasure-like being”. They also explained, “The song contains the hopeful message of ‘Let’s cheer up in hard times. The sun will rise and shine again tomorrow’”.
TREASURE’s official debut album ‘THE FIRST STEP : TREASURE EFFECT’ will be released on the 11th at 6 PM. The album includes a total of 12 tracks, while TREASURE plans to meet the fans 2 hours prior to the release of their album, on the 11th at 4 PM, through the Naver V LIVE ‘COUNTDOWN PARTY’.
