WSJ spotlights Psy’s participation in UN’s donation project
World star South Korean rapper Psy will be joining the United Nation’s donation project.
Wall Street Journal, America’s daily newspaper, reported on May 23 (local date) through an article that Psy will be joining the UN’s special donation project. The project is run by the Secretary General of the organization, Ban Ki-moon.
Psy’s donation will make contributions to several different benefits, including people suffering from poverty and to Every Women Every Child, a welfare promotion project for women and young girls around the world.
Last year, when Psy met his fellow South Korean Secretary General in the United States, he expressed that he wants to join the effort in helping people in a disadvantaged environment.
This gesture of contribution is not Psy’s first. At the end of April, Psy donated 500 million won from his “Gentleman” profit to children with cancer.
Apart from this, Psy is fully focused on overseas promotion of his latest mega-hit “Gentleman.”
