YG’s LYDIA Tries Cover Song of TAEYANG’s “EYES, NOSE, LIPS”… Disclosing Today at 9PM
[OSEN=선미경 기자] Songwriter-cum-producer LYDIA tries a cover song of TAEYANG’s “Eyes, Nose, Lips”.
On the 23 at 0 o’clock, YG Entertainment posted an image that announces LYDIA’s covering of TAEYANG’s new song “Eyes, Nose, Lips”, on YG’s official blog. LYDIA is YG’s songwriter and producer. The teaser image is catching many eyes, with words “COVER PROJECT BY YG FAMILY 003” and black-and-white image of LYDIA.
Plus, phrase “COVER VIDEO RELEASE July 23 (Wed.) 9PM” is written on the image, suggesting that the cover image will be disclosed on the day at 9pm.
LYDIA is well-known as a co-writer of “DO YOU LOVE ME” of girl group 2NE1, as well as “1,2,3,4” and “IT’s OVER” of LEE HI. She also drew much attention when she featured for “R.O.D”, a song included in G-DRAGON’s second full-length solo album “COUP D’ETAT” that was released in September last year.
As the sentimental vocal and catchy chorus of “Eyes, Nose, Lips” have enjoyed great popularity among music fans, it dominated the No.1 of many on-line music charts, including five consecutive No.1s on Melon chart. Plus, it has also won eight No.1 trophies in music ranking shows of four broadcasters in Korea. Notably, AKMU and Tablo’s cover song of “Eyes, Nose, Lips” have also enjoyed a big popularity.
LYDIA is now creating the third cover song of “Eyes, Nose, Lips” following AKMU and Tablo, and music fans are paying keen attention to what new type of “Eyes, Nose, Lips” will be born from LYDIA.
