YG Reveals DOYOUNG as the Final Member of TREASURE’s New Unit T5
[스타뉴스=김노을 기자] The final member of group TREASURE’s new unit T5 was revealed to be DOYOUNG.
On the 17th, YG Entertainment posted ‘TREASURE (T5) – CONCEPT POSTER DOYOUNG’ on their official blog. DOYOUNG was confirmed as the final member of the much-speculated unit T5, much to the delight and intrigue of fans.
In the poster, DOYOUNG, set against a low-key backdrop, has garnered attention with a starkly different mood from before. His restrained black charisma was striking, and his deep gaze added a mysterious tension.
With this, the new unit T5 of TREASURE, consisting of SO JUNG HWAN, JUNKYU, JIHOON, YOON JAE HYUK, and DOYOUNG, has finalized their five members and will embark on activities in July.
It’s particularly intriguing that the unit is made up exclusively of vocal members. Given that robust rapping has played a strong role in all of TREASURE’s previously released songs, it’s expected that fans will be able to feel a somewhat different style in their music.
Previously, YG Entertainment amusingly described the T5 combination as a “self-proclaimed handsome quintet”. The fans are highly curious about the new concept that these members, equipped with visuals, talent, and unreserved confidence, will showcase, and their expectations for a more expanded musical spectrum are growing.
Meanwhile, TREASURE is set to release their 2nd full album ‘REBOOT’ filled with new songs in August. In regards to this, YG’s executive producer YANG HYUN SUK stated, “TREASURE is reborn.”
