YG’s Newest Girl Group, BABYMONSTER, Set to Debut in November; Music Video Shoot Scheduled for End of the Month
[헤럴드POP=강가희 기자] YG’s rookie girl group, BABYMONSTER, has finally confirmed their debut for this coming November and will commence their music video shoot by the end of October.
YG Entertainment revealed this news by posting a “Coming Soon” poster for BABYMONSTER’s impending debut on their official blog at 1 pm on the 10th.
YG has been working diligently on the BABYMONSTER project. They’ve organized multiple song camps at YG, collaborating with renowned international composers and YG’s in-house producers. Thanks to these efforts, they’ve secured numerous high-quality tracks.
Among these, a song with an intense mood has been finalized as BABYMONSTER’s debut title track. YG mentioned, “We took great care in selecting the title track to provide the best outcome. Consequently, the debut got delayed from the initially mentioned September. We ask for your understanding.”
Currently, the BABYMONSTER members are engrossed in practicing the choreography for their title track and will shoot the music video by the end of October. All staff at YG are also working hard to ensure a successful debut for the group.
YG stated, “All preparations are now complete. Once the official debut takes place in November, we’ll continuously give our utmost effort. We kindly ask for much attention and support.” This statement has heightened global music fans’ anticipation.
On a side note, BABYMONSTER is the girl group that YG is introducing approximately 7 years after BLACKPINK. With members from Korea, Thailand, and Japan, they boast top-tier talents in vocals, dance, rap, and visuals. They’ve been dubbed as a ‘monster rookie’ that will shake up the K-pop scene, drawing global attention. Even before their debut, their official YouTube channel has garnered over 3.12 million subscribers, and their cumulative views are nearing 450 million.
