[일간스포츠=김지혜 기자] BABYMONSTER kicked off their debut Japan tour in Kanagawa with a flawless live performance lasting 2 hours and 20 minutes, proving their mettle as the new “monster rookies.”

On March 14, 15, and 16, BABYMONSTER hosted the ‘2025 BABYMONSTER 1st World Tour “Hello Monster” in Japan’ at the Pia Arena MM in Yokohama, Kanagawa. Given that it was the opening of their Japan tour, the explosive interest from fans ensured that all 30,000 prepared tickets were sold out immediately, with requests pouring in to the extent that even seats with restricted views were opened.

The concert venue resounded with a grand intro, and as BABYMONSTER took the stage, they instantly lifted the atmosphere with their powerful energy in “DRIP.” They continued to dazzle with “BATTER UP,” “CLICK CLACK,” “LIKE THAT,” and “SHEESH,” showcasing their unique vocal and rap skills that sent adrenaline surging.

ncluding band sound arrangements for all songs, the high-quality production and stage design, condensed with YG’s expertise, filled the running time. The solo stages, reflecting each member’s debut narrative, continued to deliver overwhelming emotions. A diverse array of performances in genres like ballad, R&B, and hip-hop unfolded one after another, deeply immersing the audience and revealing the group’s dazzling musical growth over time.

Particularly known for their complete live performances, BABYMONSTER’s stage presence and relaxed demeanor were impressive. The members’ unmatched aura, compelling facial expressions, and gestures synergized to create an electrifying thrill.

The audience reciprocated with enthusiastic cheers and applause, crafting a precious memory together. The members expressed, “It was truly enjoyable to meet our fans in Japan. Let’s continue to create many more memories.” Notably, RUKA and ASA, who performed in their homeland, shared, “It was blissful to perform in the place we were born and raised. It was a dream come true.”

Through the Kanagawa performance, BABYMONSTER vigorously launched their debut Japan tour and will ride this momentum to Aichi, Osaka, Kanagawa, and Fukuoka. Despite a schedule that has doubled since last year’s fan meetings, all tickets for the 11 shows across four cities were quickly sold out, vividly demonstrating their rising popularity and solid footing in Japan.
