[OSEN=선미경 기자] Following a successful start to their first Japan tour, BABYMONSTER has once again been featured on a local music program, continuing the enduring popularity of their hit ‘DRIP.’

BABYMONSTER appeared on a special live broadcast of TBS’s ‘CDTV Live! Live!’ on March 17th. With their confident attitude and distinctive visuals, BABYMONSTER took the stage with their trademark handheld microphone live, demonstrating upgraded skills and energy that dominated the audience.

Their whirlwind rapping and explosive vocals, along with a finely controlled performance that played with intensity, captivated fans, creating a concert-like, fantastic stage for ‘DRIP.’ After the broadcast, music fans retweeted the performance video on social media, expressing their awe, “Overwhelmed by their live performance,” “Hearing AHYEON’s triple high notes on a Japanese music show is exhilarating,” and “Can’t wait for the concert.”

The regular 1st album’s double title track ‘DRIP,’ released last November, has gained popularity worldwide through word-of-mouth due to its unique quality. It has made a significant mark on various Japanese charts and has taken over stages of local terrestrial music broadcasts including TV Asahi’s ‘Music Station,’ NHK’s ‘Venue101,’ and Fuji TV’s ‘Weekly Nainai Music.’

The one-take live video of ‘DRIP’ presented on the popular Japanese YouTube channel ‘THE FIRST TAKE’ rapidly increased views, surpassing 17 million. It has also maintained a long-standing chart presence for five months on major music charts, including Japan’s largest music site ‘Line Music.’ This sustained popularity has led to another appearance on local music broadcasts, confirming BABYMONSTER’s enduring appeal.

The ‘2025 BABYMONSTER 1st WORLD TOUR IN JAPAN’ is also progressing smoothly. Starting with three sold-out shows at Kanagawa Pia Arena MM on March 14th, the tour will continue with performances on March 22 and 23 at Aichi Port Messe Nagoya, April 3 and 4 at Osaka’s Ase Arena, April 12 and 13 at Kanagawa’s K Arena Yokohama, and April 19 and 20 at Fukuoka International Center across four cities with 11 performances in total.

Combined sales of BABYMONSTER’s mini 1st album [BABYMONS7ER] and the regular 1st album [DRIP] have exceeded 1.68 million copies. Last year’s active schedule demonstrated their overwhelming talent, with the rapid release of a regular album and six high-quality music videos attracting a new fan base. With the global tour still ongoing, final sales are expected to increase even further.
