TREASURE Completes Early Recontract with YG
[스타투데이=이다겸 기자] K-pop group TREASURE has finalized their recontract with YG Entertainment. The news was shared during their appearance on SBS Power FM (107.7MHz) ‘Cultwo Show’ yesterday.
TREASURE, which recently made a comeback with the new song ‘Yellow,’ revisited ‘Cultwo Show’ after three months. The group announced a change in leadership from CHOI HYUN SUK and JIHOON to JUNKYU and ASAHI. ASAHI, embracing his new role, said, “I am a pacifist. I’ll make sure that no fights happen within the team,” capturing the attention of listeners.
Discussing their new song ‘Yellow,’ TREASURE described it as a song that expresses the warmth of newfound love in shades of yellow. ASAHI, who took part in writing and composing the track, explained, “When I see yellow, it brings feelings of joy, happiness, and warmth, which I wanted to incorporate into our music.” JUNKYU added, “We prepared a softer song different from our previous tracks, and the positive response from fans has been uplifting.”
With an upcoming international tour, TREASURE revealed they are set to perform in nine cities across North America, Japan, and Seoul. When asked about the impact of exchange rates on their earnings, they candidly responded, “There are differences, and not always for the better.”
Additionally, the group drew attention by announcing that they have completed an early recontract with YG. Meanwhile, ‘Cultwo Show’ airs daily from 2 PM to 4 PM on SBS Power FM 107.7MHz and is also available as a visual radio on the official YouTube channel ‘ERAO’.
