[mbc 연예=이호영 기자] BABYMONSTER continues its meteoric rise in popularity, impressing local music fans with their overwhelming live performances throughout their Japan tour.

According to YG Entertainment, BABYMONSTER successfully completed their ‘2025 BABYMONSTER 1st WORLD TOUR <HELLO MONSTERS> IN AICHI’ at the Port Messe Nagoya in Aichi Prefecture on the 22nd and 23rd. This follows a string of sell-outs at the Kanagawa Pia Arena MM on the 14th, 15th, and 16th, marking a continuation of their powerful local ticketing influence. The previous venues were packed with a total of 30,000 fans, and this time, even seats with restricted views were opened, attracting 24,000 attendees over two days.

Their solid fanbase, established during last year’s fan meeting tour, along with the word-of-mouth about the members’ skills and the high quality of their performances, has acted as a catalyst. Since the start of the tour, the admiration has continued as they flawlessly perform the full setlist with handheld microphones.

Local music insiders are noting BABYMONSTER’s influence, which extends beyond mere buzz to genuine mass appeal. They’re attracting fans from various genres and age groups, not just existing K-pop listeners. YG’s strategy of broadening engagement from the outset aimed at the global market is clearly paying off.

Fueled by enthusiastic support, the scale of the tour is also expanding. At this concert, BABYMONSTER announced surprise additional dates on April 11th in Kanagawa. They will meet fans on April 3rd and 4th at the Osaka Asue Arena, April 11th, 12th, and 13th at the Kanagawa K Arena Yokohama, and April 19th and 20th at the Fukuoka International Center, among others. They are expected to set various records, including the fastest K-pop girl group to draw 100,000 attendees on a Japan tour.

Later, they will visit Singapore, Hong Kong, Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, and Taipei, continuing to meet Asian fans. In the second half of the year, they will embark on their second North American tour, hitting Toronto, Rosemont, Atlanta, Fort Worth, Oakland, and Seattle.
