G-Dragon’s solo World Tour finale encore concert to be held in Seoul
YG Entertainment announced the news on G-Dragon’s solo World Tour finale encore concert.
The founder of the entertainment agency, Yang Hyun-suk, posted an entry on YG’s official blog YGLIFE dubbed FROM YG on June 28. In the blog entry, apart from G-Dragon’s concert schedule, the CEO also brought many pieces of news. He wrote about the 2nd winner of K-Pop Star 2, Bang Yedam, joining YG, and Taeyang’s comeback for the first time in 3 years, and the policy changes for the artists in regards to TV appearances.
He wrote, “G-DRAGON is scheduled to hold a solo concert at Seoul Olympic Gymnastics Arena for two days on August 31 and September 1. This will be G-DRAGON’s final encore concert for his World Tour. At the concert he will be performing his new songs from his 2nd album, which will be released on August 18. On the day, which is also his birthday, he is scheduled to reveal the album on a TV music program and it goes on sale on offline as well.”
Yang Hyun-suk built up expectations for the fans when he announced that Taeyang will be making a comeback at the beginning of September for the first time in 3 years. More details on Taeyang’s 2nd regular album will be revealed on the blog in the near future.
He also announced that starting from 2NE1’s comeback with “Falling in Love,” YG’s artists will be seen more often on television. This drew much attention as YG is now steering away from its 4-year-old policy, which allowed the artists to appear just once a week on TV.
