[뉴스엔=이민지 기자] BABYMONSTER has once again proven their power as the next-generation “YouTube Queens.”

According to YG ENTERTAINMENT on August 22, the music video for “DRIP,” the title track of BABYMONSTER’s first full-length album, surpassed 400 million views on YouTube at around 1:53 p.m. that day. The milestone comes approximately one year and nine months after its release on November 1, 2024.

“DRIP” is an EDM-based hip-hop dance track that captures BABYMONSTER’s signature confident and stylish attitude. The song also drew significant attention for having G-DRAGON participate in its composition.

With this, BABYMONSTER now has two music videos with over 400 million views, following “SHEESH.” Known for their visually striking productions that highlight both the concept of each song and the individuality of the members, BABYMONSTER has consistently earned enthusiastic responses from global fans. The group has now produced a total of 17 videos with more than 100 million views, steadily expanding its influence on YouTube.

In particular, the performance video for “DRIP” recently surpassed 200 million views, continuing its strong run alongside the official music video. The performance video, which offers a more direct look at the details of the choreography and the members’ performance skills, has been praised for presenting a different kind of appeal from the music video and has helped sustain the song’s long-term popularity.

The growth of BABYMONSTER’s official YouTube channel has also been remarkable. The group reached 10 million subscribers just one year and five months after debut, setting the record for the fastest K-pop girl group to achieve the milestone. On August 21, they also became the third K-pop girl group to surpass 13 million subscribers. Their cumulative channel views have now exceeded 9.89 billion, putting them just short of the 10 billion mark.

Behind this rapid growth is a promotional strategy centered around YANG HYUN SUK YG Executive Producer, with a consistent focus on planning and producing high-quality content. The group’s ability to continuously release original content that maximizes its unique identity and appeal while expanding opportunities to connect with fans is seen as a major driving force behind its growing global influence.

Meanwhile, BABYMONSTER has been meeting fans around the world through its second world tour, “2026-27 BABYMONSTER WORLD TOUR [춤 (CHOOM)],” which began in June. On September 22 and 23, the group will perform at Kyocera Dome Osaka for the first time since debut, marking the finale of its Japan tour. BABYMONSTER will then continue the world tour across five continents, including Asia, Oceania, South America, North America and Europe.
