G-Dragon’s “COUP D’ETAT”, 8,888 Limited Edition LPs Sold out before Official Release
[머니투데이 스타뉴스 윤성열 기자] Idol boy band Big Bang (Taeyang, Dae Sung, Seungri, Top, and G-Dragon)’s lead singer G-Dragon has become a “sold-out man”.
According to G-Dragon’s agency YG Entertainment’s announcement on the 2, the limited LP edition of G-Dragon’s second full solo album “COUP D’ETAT” was sold out in only one day from the beginning of reservation on the 30 last month.
It is the second time that G-Dragon releases an LP edition of his album. G-Dragon’s first LP album was the overseas limited LP edition of his single “ONE OF A KIND”.
Only 8,888 sets of the limited LP edition of G-Dragon’s new album will be released, to highlight the meaning of number 8, which he has had a affection as his lucky number.
Notably, as G-Dragon is known to number all those 8,888 sets of his LP album on the outbox, in his own handwriting, the new edition has been attracting much attention.
In the second full solo album released four years after the first one, G-Dragon displays his own exclusive style, catching eyes of many people with a unique and bold originality. The LP edition is also supposed to be sensational.
YG Entertainment said, “The LP album used a newly-remastered tape to minimize bending and distortion of the sound and to keep the original sound, so you can more vividly enjoy the tracks in G-Dragon’s second album.”
The LP edition of “COUP D’ETAT” is released on the 18.
