T.O.P in ‘Commitment’, transformed from taciturn to hilarious
[MBN스타 안하나 기자] BIGBANG’s T.O.P (his real name Choi Seung Hyun), is back on the screens in cinemas for the first time in 3 years. He appeared before the fans to show a hilarious side of himself, making them burst out in laughter.
At the New Millennium Hall of Konkuk University in Hwayang-dong Seoul on Oct 16, a showcase event of the film the ‘Commitment’ (Directed by Park Hong Soo, Produced by The Lamp and Gold Fish) was held. T.O.P, who partook in the event was asked, “I thought you were supposed to be wearing a school uniform. But you look like you are dressed in a nice suit. Is there a secret to how you make everything look classy?” to which he answered, “I think it’s because I took some digestive medicine.”
This comment received a sarcastic ‘boo’ and made everyone laugh, and he added, “Actually I became a lot fitter while filming the ‘Commitment’ for 4 months. I think that’s why it looks more professional even when I’m wearing a school uniform. That could be why it makes me look like I’m wearing a suit.”
Apart from T.O.P, the director, Park Hong Soo also joined in, along with fellow actors Yoon Jae Moon, Han Ye Ri and Kim Yoo Jung.
The ‘Commitment’ is a film featuring Myung Hoon (played by T.O.P), a 19 year-old who is arrested in a detention center because of his wrongfully accused father, accepting the offer to become a spy in South Korea to save his only sister. It will be released in cinemas on Nov 6.
