T.O.P returns after 3 years with a peculiar teaser image
[스포츠 서울 조성경 기자] It seems like BIGBANG’s T.O.P has gone through a peculiar transformation.
The second teaser image of T.O.P’s first solo song in 3 years, ‘DOOM DADA’ was unveiled on Nov 14 by YG Entertainment. The image was posted on its official blog YG LIFE (www.yg-life.com).
The disclosed teaser image filled with a peculiar ambience was a follow-up of the first one revealed previously.
T.O.P’s outfit and styling make it all more bizarre: nicely combed hair and classy suit make a strange yet tasteful match with the way too over-sized bow tie and a mustache. Beside T.O.P stands a smaller person with an adorable pose, which does not exactly go well with the freakish mask.
The two teasers full of bizarre and peculiar ambience and the upcoming song title ‘Doom Dada’ is building curiosity amongst the fans to see what kind of song T.O.P has prepared for them.
Since ‘Turn It Up’ 3 years ago in 2010, ‘DOOM DADA’ is the first solo song of T.O.P. He was in charge of writing the lyrics, while co-composing it with CHOICE37, who composed BIGBANG’s ‘Bad Boy’ and G-DRAGON’s One of a Kind’. This will be a song that embraces the unique colors that T.O.P possesses.
Apart from this, the music video of ‘DOOM DADA’ is expected to be another unique feature of the song as Seo Hyun Seung, the director of TAEYANG’s latest music video ‘RINGA LINGA’ is in charge. Many anticipate that the upcoming music video would be as breathtaking as that of ‘Turn It Up’.
Meanwhile, T.O.P will be joining other BIGBANG members for Japan’s 6 largest Dome Tour for the first time as foreign artists, which kicks off on Nov 16. T.O.P has also made a comeback as an actor in 3 years since ‘Into the Fire’ in 2010, with the film ‘Commitment.’ His involvement in both fields is a testament to his passion for both film and music.
