AKDONG MUSICIAN is No.1 on Music Charts for 2 Consecutive Days… “Beginning to Solidify No.1 Place”

“200%”, the title track of AKMU’s debut album, is in the top place on eight major music charts of Korea: Melon, Mnet.com, Bugs, Soribada, NAVER Music, and Genie, as of the morning on the 8. Another title track “MELTED” took the No.1 on Daum Music and considering the fact that Cyworld Music is now inspecting its chart, AKMU has actually taken the No.1 of all the major music charts.
AKMU has also succeeded in making all the songs in their debut album including “GIVE LOVE”, “ARTIFICIAL GRASS”, “ON THE SUBWAY”, “HAIR PART”, “LITTLE STAR”, “DON’T HATE ME”, “ANYWAY”, “GALAXY” and “IDEA” enter the top places in music charts. That is hard even for successful senior singers.
“200%” is a love song with an exciting and rhythmical melody. In the song, AKMU wittily sings a feeling of not being able to say anything before the person of a secret crush, despite an all-night-long preparation to confess the love. Sensible rapping and LEE SOO HYUN’s voice that is clear and cool, appeal in the song.
Plus, “MELTED” is a song where the intro of magnificent piano sound and rhythmical guitar melody create a harmony together. The song feels of a child’s innocent and pure curiosity, who asks “why is ice cold”.
What is remarkable about AKMU’s debut album “PLAY” is that LEE CHAN HYUK composed and wrote the lyrics of all the 11 songs included in the album, as the main producer. He took part in the arrangement of title track “MELTED” and “200%”, too, to prove his talent as a singer-song writer. His sister LEE SOO HYUN catches the ears of listeners, with her charming and comfortable voice color and pureness of a teenager, which are put on the songs created by her brother.
The debut album is a proof that AKMU has now successfully entered the world of professional musicians with their fresh debut songs that go perfectly with this spring time.
