[M/V Hotspot] Performance removed: TAEYANG’s song becomes more appreciable
[OSEN=권지영 기자] BIGBANG’s TAEYANG blended the sorrow sentiment of yearning for long-gone love into his song.
The music video of “EYES, NOSE, LIPS,” the title track of TAEYANG’s 2nd full album “RISE” released at 0 hour of June 3, features TAEYANG singing a song about love that is long gone.
TAEYANG, with the occasionally shining sun in the background, moves together with the camera slowly in an unknown dark place where one cannot predict the time. Finally a woman’s photograph shows up above and behind his head, and as the picture burns, TAEYANG’s voice hits the climax as if to explode.
Under the flames that dances behind him, TAEYANG restrains from making any dance moves and solely focuses on his voice, filling the video with his sentimental voice and body gestures. The one-take technique helps viewers get drawn into his story even more.
TAEYANG will embark on the promotion of his album “RISE,” the first song in 7 months since “RINGA LINGA” last November and the first album in 4 years since “SOLAR” in 2010. While focusing on one title track “EYES, NOSE, LIPS,” he will unveil a total of 3 music videos including the title track’s, and “1AM” and “BODY” where the story of Min Hyo Rin, the girl whose photo is burned in the latest M/V, will continue on.
TAEYANG received both “Best R&B” and “Best Soul” awards at the 6h Korean Music Awards with his first mini album “HOT” released in 2008. The first full album “SOLAR” released in 2010 helped him become the runner-up on the American iTunes R&B and Soul and #1 the Canadian one, a first for an Asian artist.
