TAEYANG Successfully Rounded Off Surprise Live-Performance in “Wonder Live”
[OSEN=임승미 기자] Group BIGBANG’s TAEYANG has successfully rounded off his surprise live performance in 1theK “Wonder Live”.
TAEYANG has recently busy performing as a solo artist, since the release of his second full-length album “RISE”. On the 18 at 8pm, he appeared in “Wonder Live” held on JBK Hall located in Samsung-dong, Gangnam-gu, as the eight artist for the show, on the 18 at 8pm. In his surprise live performance, TAEYANG closely communicated with fans.
“Wonder Live” concert had 150 persons of audience who were selected through 1theK channel. TAEYANG sang total seven of his songs on the stage, including “Eyes, Nose, Lips”, the title track of his second album, as well as “1AM”, and “RINGA LINGA”.
All those repertories were played by a band and notably, the live performance of TAEYANG’s “BODY” and “LOVE YOU TO DEATH”, songs included in his second full-length album, was first disclosed in “Wonder Live”. Fans were captivated by TAEYANG’s sentimental live performance and gave enthusiastic cheers back to him.
TAEYANG has been enjoying a high popularity with “Eyes, Nose, Lips”, the title track of his second full-length album in which he himself took part in composing and writing. Even though two weeks have already passed since the release of the new album, the song is still maintaining the No.1 on the weekly chart of Melon, Genie, and NAVER Music. It has also taken top ranks in three major music show programs in Korea: Mnet’s “M-Countdown”, MBC’s “Show Music Center”, and SBS “INKIGAYO”.
TAEYANG has also proven his presence overseas, by taking the 112th place on “Billboard 200”, American Billboard’s album chart. The rank is the highest record on the chart that has ever achieved by a Korean male singer.
Meanwhile, “Wonder Live-TAEYANG” in which he disclosed first live performance for songs in his second full-length album, will be opened on on-line music website Melon and 1theK’s YouTube channel on the 25 at noon.
