WINNER debuts with double title tracks: KANG SEUNGYOON involved in producing
[마이데일리 = 전원 기자] YG’s new boy group WINNER will debut with two title tracks in their first album.
With the official “2014 S/S Launching Show” held at Seoul Yeouido’s Conrad Hotel on August 6th, WINNER kicked off their debut.
Their debut album “2014 S/S” holds a total of 10 tracks, including the first track “EMPTY” and second “COLOR RING” as their double title tracks. The members unleash their talents as singer-songwriters by being involved in writing and composing all 10 songs.
“EMPTY” was written by SONG MINHO, where he describes the emptiness after a breakup in hiphop style. “COLOR RING” is a joint work written by KANG SEUNG YOON, SONG MIN HO and LEE SEUNG HOON. Leader KANG SEUNG YOON played a big part as the main producer in this track.
Apart from the title track, SONG MIN HO was the main producer of “LOVE IS A LIE” while NAM TAE HYUN in “TONIGHT.” The two will showcase their solo songs “I’M HIM” and “CONFESSION” as well.
WINNER, for three weeks, worked on creating their brand image by releasing 6 teaser movies with titles like “Test Week” and “New York Week.” These videos were filmed under different themes and in New York for their upcoming debut, solidifying WINNER as a brand.
Kicking off their debut with the Launching Show, they will unveil the songs on August 12 while the offline album is scheduled to go on sale on August 14.
