“MIX & MATCH”: B.I, BOBBY & KIM JIN HWAN regulars while the other 3 compete
[OSEN=박현민 기자] YG Entertainment unveiled how the new boy group survival “MIX & MATCH” will be operated. B.I, BOBBY and KIM JINHWAN will be regulars while the other 6 compete. A total of 7 members will be left in the end.
At the preview event of the program held at Seoul Conrad Hotel on Sept 2, YG’s Executive Producer YANG HYUN SUK, Team B’s B.I, KIM JIN HWAN, SONG YUN HYEONG, KIM DONG HYUK and KOO JUN HOE were present along with the new faces, JUNG JINHYEONG, JUNG CHANWOO and YANG HONGSEOK. DAESUNG and YOO IN NA are the moderators.
What MC DAESUNG unveiled this day is the following: Among the 9 trainees listed above, B.I, BOBBY and KIM JIN HWAN’s membership in the group is confirmed. TEAM B’s remaining members SONG, KIM and KOO, along with the 3 newcomers, will be competing against each other. Of the 6 competitors, 4 will be selected and will be joined with the first 3 members to create a boy group consisting of 7 members.
The selection depends 30% on judges’ votes and 70% on the viewers’.
YANG previously made a promise one year ago, after TEAM A seized victory on “WIN,” that the “losing team will either break up or be reorganized.”
“MIX & MATCH” is YG’s first boy group survival program in 1 year since “WIN,” which will be aired simultaneously through Mnet and Naver. The first episode goes on air on Sept 11, and will be aired every Thursday at 11 pm.
