TAEYANG’s “EYES, NOSE, LIPS” most loved Karaoke Song: Tops charts 9 straight weeks
[텐아시아 = 권석정 기자] TAEYANG’s “EYES, NOSE, LIPS” is certainly being loved at karaoke.
The latest Gaon karaoke chart unveiled on Sept 4 shows the song at #1 for 9 weeks in a row. The ranking of the last week of August shows he competed with Park Hyo Shin’s “Wildflower,” and championed the chart. His achievement proves the song is much loved by the general public at karaoke.
The song topped the chart for the first time in the week from June 29 to July 5, and has been doing so for 9 straight weeks.
The song released on June 2nd is written by TAEYANG himself. It maximizes his vocal talents, steering away from dynamic dance performances for which he is usually known. The R&B slow track swept across all charts and music programs, wildly heating up the music world.
TAEYANG kicked off his first solo tour in Japan titled “SOL JAPAN TOUR ‘RISE’ 2014” in Osaka on August 12 and 13, while releasing his debut album “RISE [+ SOLAR & HOT]” across the country on August 13. He became the runner-up on Oricon’s daily and weekly charts, proving his borderless popularity.
On Sept 4, he will be wrapping up his Japan tour at Osaka Castle after travelling across 6 cities to perform 13 times for the 70,000 fans.
