“Show Me The Money 3”’s Champion BOBBY Releases His Final Round Song Today (Sep. 5) at Noon
[OSEN=선미경 기자] The song performed by BOBBY, the champion of cable channel Mnet’s rapper survival show “Show Me The Money 3”, in the final round of the competition, is released on September 5 at noon.
“Show Me The Money 3 Part 5” that is released on the day at noon includes “Up The Guard and Bounce”, a song of TEAM Dok2 & The Quiett’s BOBBY who beat Iron to become the final winner, as well as “Untold Story” which is an undisclosed song of TEAM Swings & San-E’s Vasco, who lost in the first round of the semi-finals but revived later, creating a sensation.
In a pre-interview, BOBBY expressed his strong desire for victory, saying, “I broke the prejudice on me (as an idol rapper) proudly. I did my best more than ever, and I don’t want to lose after all those efforts”. BOBBY kicked off the battle against Iron from TEAM YDG and expressed himself fighting against the prejudice on him that he is just an idol singer. He proved his talent and skills, through a pleasant hook with lyrics that go, “Why do I have to clean up the stigma on idol singer put by you, you know nothing about my serious passion for rap, you know nothing, you tin ear singers”.
He swept the stage by captivating the audience, to take 3,010,000 million won in the first-round vote and total 7,735,000 won in sum with the second-round vote. As a result, he became the final winner of “Show Me The Money 3”.
BOBBY achieved the title of the champion of “Show Me The Money 3”, based on his continuous evolution within the framework of hip-hop. After his winning, BOBBY expressed the resolution for his future as rapper BOBBY, saying, “I have achieved this, breaking every prejudice on me, so please recognize me as a rapper now. I’ll continue my efforts to make you recognize me. The show begins now.”
Meanwhile, Vasco’s “Untold Story” released with BOBBY’s song was created by Vasco in advance, to be performed on the stage of the final round, which immediately followed the semi-final stage on the day of the competition. Vasco is a contestant who drew a big attention with his veteran rapping skills and stage attitude that lived up to his 14 years of experience.
As the title itself tells, “Untold Story” is a song about Vasco’s journey in “Show Me The Money 3”, his feelings and future. The song is drawing all the more attention, as Giriboy took part in writing the melody and lyrics of it. Vasco presented music that proved the fact that hip-hop can create perfect harmony with any other genre and “Untold Story” will leave a strong impression to the public about the potential of hip-hop.
