YG Has Unveiled Survival “MIX & MATCH”’s Teaser, Playful “Show Time”
[TV리포트=황지영 기자] “MIX & MATCH”’s teaser video has been unveiled.
On the 8 this month in the afternoon, YG unveiled the teaser video of “MIX & MATCH”’s first episode on YG’s blog, under the title of “MIX & MATCH – EPISODE 1 TEASER SPOT 2”. “MIX & MATCH” is a survival audition program designed to select the members of YG Entertainment (“YG”)’s new boy group.
In the teaser video, each one of nine YG trainees to compete in “MIX & MATCH” is introduced. The nine “MIX & MATCH” members include six Team B members (B.I, BOBBY, KIM JINHWAN, SONG YUNHYEONG, KOO JUNHOE, and KIM DONGHYUK), and three new YG trainees who have joined YG by winning one to tens of thousands competition in global audition. Against the background of “iKON”, the name of the new team, each member’s close-up shots and behind cuts taken at the recording of the program’s title track are shown in the teaser video.
According to an YG insider, the music of “MIX & MATCH”’s teaser video is the title track of the program, whose melody and lyrics were written by B.I based on YG producer CHOICE37’s track. The nine member of “MIX & MATCH” sang the song all together, to complete the logo song of the program. The song begins with shouting of the show’s catch phrase “Get Ready? Show Time” and impresses listeners with an exciting beat and lyrics that go “Let’s MIX & MATCH, dream a bigger dream. Let’s say i.K.O.N. Introducing myself, hands in the air. Sing more loudly. Let’s say i.K.O.N. I invite you to a whole new world”.
“MIX & MATCH” is a survival audition program that shows the competition of YG trainees to be selected as the member of YG’s new boy group. WIN Team B’s six members and three new YG trainees will “mix and match” their talent, charms, and characters to create the best harmony in the show.
“MIX & MATCH”’s first episode will be aired on cable channel Mnet and search engine NAVER’s TV CAST on the 11 at 11pm. Viewers can watch the show rebroadcasted on NAVER’s TV CAST and YG’s official blog. Plus, NAVER TV CAST will offer multi-track images of each member of “MIX & MATCH” taken from different angles.
