BIGBANG’s DAESUNG: Japan Mini Album D-LITE & Solo DVD album out in October
[동아닷컴 정준화 기자] BIGBANG’s DAESUNG is releasing a mini album D-LITE and Solo Tour DVD in Japan.
To celebrate the end-of-the-year season, his album D-LITE will be released on October 29 at “Enka!! Avex Produced by YGEX”. This label belongs to Tokyo Pudding, which produced huge hits of Keitai Enka and Goukon Enka, an extension from Japanese tradition songs, in the late 90’s.
This album includes 9 versions of 4 songs, including 3 new enka songs, all of which will be recorded in Japanese.
Lead track was also released in Korea and was a huge hit: “Look At Me Gui-Sun.” BIGBANG wrote and composed the song in Korea, but the Japanese one will be written by Hyadain’s Maeyamada Kenichi. The song’s addictive melody and comical lyrics are enjoyed by men and women, especially for its impressive choreography in the chorus.
The 2nd track “It’s a Big Hit” was also written by Yamada Kenichi, which is a song that can be enjoyed by all range of ages like the other one. The third track is a cover of Japan’s big celebrity Wada Akiko’s “Old Diary.” DAESUNG received much praises by adding a powerful drum to this song at his solo tour. The 4th track is Yamamoto Linda’s hit song “Do-nimo Tomaranai,” which was popular in the 70’s.
This album can be enjoyed by all genders and all age range, and carries songs that any Japanese would have heard at least once. It is expected to gain much popularity this season.
In the DVD attached, the music videos of “Look At Me Gui-Sun” and D’s Love’s hit song “SHUT UP,” along with the 2nd part/summer version of “Tosang’s Way to Spend Holidays In Hokkaido.”
DAESUNG commented, “This one is different to BIGBANG and it is unique to me. I hope everyone from kids to grandparents can enjoy it. But of all, I want people to enjoy the end of the year dancing and singing.”
Meanwhile, DAESUNG on Oct 22, before his D-LITE release, will unveil LIVE DVDBlu-rary『D-LITE DLive 2014 in Japan ～D’slove～』, which is a record of his Solo Arena Tour. He travelled across 8 cities to perform 15 times in front of 170,000 fans. For the first time as a Korean solo artists, DAESUNG attracted more than 100,000 fans two years in a row. Tour title’s original solo album “D’s love” topped Oricon Daily Album Ranking for the first time.
The upcoming LIVE DVDBlu-ray is to include 【Blu-ray(2) + LIVE CD(2)】 -DELUXE EDITION-、【DVD(3) + LIVE CD(2)】 -DELUXE EDITION-、【Blu-ray(2)】、【DVD(2)】, a total of 4 forms. It includes 20 live videos that last 180 minutes. The tour that went on for 2 months also holds DAESUNG’s interview, offshoots, and a 60-minute documentary. A huge gift for the fans indeed.
