AKMU holds first exclusive concert
[일간스포츠 김진석 기자] YG’s sibling duo AKDONG MUSICIAN (AKMU) will be holding their very first exclusive concert.
AKMU announced the news at 3 pm on Oct 9 through YG’s official blog with a poster. It read, “AKDONG MUSICIAN’s First Tour Concert: AKMU CAMP.”
YG Entertainment commented, “From November 21 to 23, AKMU is to hold their concert at Hannam’s Blue Square Samsung Card Hall. It is titled ‘AKMU CAMP’ as the two will create a camping atmosphere where the fans can listen to their music in a casual and comfortable way. The poster carries this message clearly.”
At 0 hour of Oct 10, “TIME AND FALLEN LEAVES,” a song that was meant to be the title track for their debut album but was left out since it suited the autumn season better, will be unveiled. There is a countdown clock on the poster as well.
A song that somehow makes you very sentimental and nostalgic is fully written and composed by LEE CHAN HYUK. Unlike other songs that have a lot of English lyrics, this one is fully consisted of Korean. It is more meaningful as the revelation falls on Hangeul Day, a public holiday to celebrate the creation of Korean characters. AKMU has the record of sweeping across charts with “200%” and “Give Love,” which are songs from their debut album “PLAY,” and they are expected to do the same with the upcoming new song.
Tickets for AKMU CAMP will be available at 8 pm on Oct 14 at Interpark. Further details will be announced at 11 am on Oct 10.
