[OSEN=정준화 기자] EPIK HIGH’s TABLO talked about the sensational popularity of “Oppacha”.
While “Oppacha”, team YG’s song unveiled in Mnet’s “Show Me the Money 4” on the 15 at 0 o’clock, is going up the charts again, TABLO who took part in writing the song talked about the birth of the song, saying, “We wanted to make a song whose lyrics don’t need to be muted, and everyone enjoyed working on the song very much.”
Then, he went on to talk about the popularity of “Oppacha”, “I’m a little bit surprised at such an unexpected popularity of the song, and I’m just so grateful to those who like it”.
“Oppacha” is a song presented by team YG’s TABLO and JINUSEAN as well as Incredible, for the competition of “Show Me the Money” aired on the 14. It has witty lyrics and catchy chorus part. As of August 17 at 9am, the song is enjoying an incredible popularity, taking the No.1 on the real-time chart of seven music-streaming websites: Genie, Mnet, Olleh, Monkey 3, NAVER Music, Soribada, and Bugs.
Other contestants of “Show Me the Money” did not spare praise for the performance of the song, saying, “It is the easiest and most popular song ever in the history of ‘Show Me the Money’”, “The lyrics and music of ‘Show Me the Money’ naturally get more and more sensational, but this song is not, thus it was nicer”, etc. “Oppacha” is drawing a big attention on-line, being called “a song banned for students preparing for the college entrance exam”, as listeners cannot get the lyrics out of their heads, and even being called “God-ppacha”.
Meanwhile, the instrumental version of “Oppacha” unveiled by EPIK HIGH’s member DJ TUKUTZ on SoundCloud is also creating sensation, recording large number of downloads which even exceeded the limitation. “Appacha” unveiled on SoundCloud by team YG’s SuperBee who competed for the song is also enjoying big popularity along with “Oppacha”.
