iKON held an autographing event for fans in Yeoui-do, Seoul… 2,000 fans from in and out of the country crowded the venue
[엑스포츠뉴스=한인구 기자] Group iKON held their third autographing event for fans in a great success, drawing 2,000 fans.
According to iKON’s label YG Entertainment on the 29 this month, iKON held an autographing event for fans on the previous day (Oct. 28), at IFC Mall North Artrium located in Yeoui-do, Seoul. iKON’s first and second autographing events were held on the 17 in Myeong-dong and on the 18 in Shinchon, Seoul. The one held on the 28 was the third event, held in celebration of the release of iKON’s debut half album. Among the buyers of the album, 130 fans were selected by lottery, to be invited to the third event.
As the event was held in an open space, as many as 2,000 fans including those who were not invited flocked to the event, proving the big popularity of iKON. From even before the beginning of the event, the venue and spaces around it were filled up with fans who came to see iKON, including not just Korean fans but also fans from Asian countries such as Japan and China.
When iKON appeared upon the beginning of the event, fans acclaimed for them and iKON members did their best to express their gratitude to fans by talking to each one of the fans and holding hands with them, even though it was only a few hours after their arrival at Korea from another fan meeting held in Japan. In the Q&A session, iKON entertained fans by giving witty answers to fans’ questions.
Notably, B.I suggested a high-five session after the autographing event, to spend more time with fans who were sorry for such short time they could meet iKON. For fans who were not selected for the autographing event, too, iKON members expressed their thanks by shaking hands and making heart sign with their fingers.
iKON will continue to meet fans on the 29 at 4pm, in the third live broadcasting of mini-game series “WELCOME BACK” on NAVER V-APP. In the “perfect pitch” match aired on the 4 and the game of slap-match aired on the 18, JUNG CHANWOO and BOBBY became the winner, respectively. Fans are showing growing interest in which members will do what kind of game for each episode.
Meanwhile, iKON has changed the schedule of the release of their full album which had been scheduled for the 2 next month originally. iKON will make a new leap forward, by releasing two digital singles and music videos on November 16 and a full album on December 14. iKON swept music charts in and out of the country with their debut warm-up single “MY TYPE” released last month and debut half album “WELCOME BACK” released on October 1. iKON also rounded off their debut concert held at the Olympic Gymnastics Hall in a great success, to gain a nick name as “monstrous rookie”. The music scene and music fans are now paying keen attention to what kind of new music and style iKON will newly present.
