YG unveiled lyrics of BOBBY & B.I’s “ANTHEM”… Full of high spirit
[일간스포츠=황미현 기자] YG Entertainment unveiled the lyrics of BOBBY and B.I’s duet song “ANTHEM”.
On November 10 at 9am, YG raised fans’ expectations for BOBBY and B.I’s duet song “ANTHEM”, by releasing the lyrics of the song on the company’s official blog.
The image shows BOBBY and B.I expressing their manly appeal against a black backdrop, as well as the lyrics of “ANTHEM”. The lyrics include the intense and powerful rap which was released in a 15-second-long spoiler music video that had been unveiled by YG Entertainment’s head producer YANG HYUN SUK, as well as words that fully express the high spirit of a rookie artist.
The lyrics express BOBBY and B.I’s strong self-confidence, who says, “No matter how you think you’re successful, I’ll beat you/ You who tries to take my turf would rather hide away, behind your chair”. The song’s catchy lyrics that borrow the rhythm and phrases Korean traditional folk songs also raise fans’ expectations higher.
iKON will release two new songs on the 16. The title track among the two is a song for the complete team of iKON, and the other one is “ANTHEM” sung by B.I and BOBBY. “ANTHEM” is a hip-hop song and it is drawing a keen attention, as it is the first-ever iKON song for which YG’s main producer TEDDY took part in.
YG’s insiders said that YG is doing its best for iKON’s performances for this November and December. It is known that YG has spared no support for iKON to create a mega-hit song which can go beyond “MY TYPE”, iKON’s debut warm-up single that recorded a big hit.
As part of such support, YG’s main producers including TEDDY and KUSH worked for iKON’s new songs, while famous music video directors such as Seo Hyeon-Seung and Han Sa-Min as well as foreign music video directors also joined the iKON project.
After the single to be unveiled on the 16, iKON will release a full album in December.
