Italian espresso bar invested by YG opened

[연합뉴스=오예진 기자] An Italian espresso bar invested by YG Entertainment’s affiliate YG Plus has opened its first store in Seoul on the 27 this month.
TNPI, a company that manages coffee franchise stores in China and Hong Kong, announced that it opens the first store of “Segafredo” near Seokchon Lake in Songpa-gu, Seoul. “Segafredo” is an Italian coffee brand.
Segafredo is one of the three major Italian coffee brands along with Illy and Lavazza. The brand’s stores are “espresso bars” where not only espresso beverages but also cocktails based on espresso, wine, and beer are sold.
The TNPI will apply the same model for Seokchon Lake store of Segafredo, to sell wine and beer with coffee.
The prices of all beverages will be around 5,000 Korean won.
At the cafe, music videos and other videos of YG Entertainment’s artists including BIGBANG and PSY will be shown and YG artists’ character goods will be sold, too.
YG Plus invested two million dollars in TNPI.
Gwon Jun, the CEO of TNPI said, “We will recruit franchise stores of Segafredo in earnest from next year and will open more than 50 stores in Korea in Yeoui-do, Samcheong-song, etc.
TNPI managed Coffee Bean brand in Hong Kong and China from 2012 until the end of last year.
