Lee Jong-Suk signed contract with YG… Unmatched lineup of actors including CHA SEUNG WON and GANG DONG WON [Official announcement]
[OSEN=최나영 기자] Actor Lee Jong-Suk, one of the leading Korean Wave stars, has signed exclusive management contract with YG Entertainment.
On May 10, YG Entertainment (“YG”) officially announced that the company has signed an exclusive management contract with Lee Jong-Suk.
Lee Jong-Suk is a popular actor who has built big recognition in the Asian region including China, for his acting in drama series “I Can Hear Your Voice”, “Dr. Stranger”, “Pinocchio”, and “The School 2013”.
Lee has cast for the male title role of “Lovers of Jade”, a drama series jointly produced by Korea and China with 40 billion Korean won of investment. He has recently come back to Korea after location shooting in China.
The reason why Lee Jong-Suk who had worked with a company only for him for both domestic and overseas career decided to join YG was because he wanted to concentrate more on his acting in a stable environment and system. Also, the bright future and vision of YG that is evolving into the top entertainment company in Korea and the world, as well as colleague actors’ recommendation for YG’s good reputation are known to be the reasons for Lee’s decision.
Lee is now about to make a new leap forward for his career with YG, following the footsteps of CHA SEUNG WON and GANG DONG WON. Lee will come back in MBC TV’s Wednesday-Thursday drama series “W” that will be first aired on July 20. The unique and new genre of romantic suspense drama will give Lee another opportunity to boast his perfect acting.
In the meantime, YG has now completed a formidable lineup of actors and actresses with Lee Jong-Suk joining the company, following GANG DONG WON who joined YG after big hit of movie “A Violent Prosecutor” that drew 9.7 million viewers in January this year, and then KIM HEE-AE, an actress called Korea’s elder sister, who joined YG in March.
