In April this year, YG’s CEO YANG HYUN SUK said to My Daily, “Jang Han-na is not in the list of the member of YG’s new girl group. She will debut as a solo artist”. Regarding the members of the new girl group, YG is taking a careful approach, not to unveil the members yet. The company is trying to keep the information about the new girl group secret as much as possible.
Jang Han-na competed in SBS “K-Pop Star 3” in 2014. Then, she joined YG for training. She drew attention last year by featuring for hip-hop duo JINUSEAN’s “Tell Me One More Time”.
In the meantime, one music industry insider said that YG has completed all the setting for its new girl group and what is left now is just the official announcement about the team’s debut. Soon, a teaser image and video will be released. In the past, there were rumors that the new girl group of YG will have more than 10 members, but the composition of the members have changed a lot for the past few years, so the number of members will not be that big. It is expected that Moon Soo-a, Kim Jisoo, and Kim Jenny will be the members of the group.
