BOBBY of iKON to Release a Powerful Hip-hop Single Titled “HOLUP!”
[OSEN=선미경 기자] BOBBY of iKON is to release a solo single, and its title is “HOLUP!”.
At 11 AM on September 3, YG Entertainment posted a teaser poster of BOBBY’s solo single that will be released on September 7 on its official blog. The title of the song is “HOLUP!” or “KWALA” in Korean. In Korean, “kwala” refers to the state of being drunk, so much so that you are like a koala that sleeps all day long.
YG said, “BOBBY, who just turned 20, doesn’t drink a lot, and he hasn’t been to clubs a lot either. So we’re surprised when we heard the title of the song. But if you look at the lyrics, it means getting drunk from music and the vibe from BOBBY’s rough rap on a powerful hip-hop beat.”
BOBBY wrote the lyrics of this song and composed the song together with Shockbit. Shockbit is the composer that participated in TAEYANG’s “RINGA LINGA”. Expectations are running high for the first collaboration of BOBBY and Shockbit.
YG Entertainment will release the song and the music video of BOBBY’s “HOLUP!” on September 7. BOBBY was the winner of Mnet’s rapper survival show “Show Me The Money 3” that aired in 2014. It will be interesting to see how much BOBBY has progressed over the past two years and how much energy he will bring on the stage.
