iKON Ends its First Asia Tour Successfully in Jakarta
[스포츠조선닷컴=김준석 기자] iKON’s first Asia tour ends in success.
On September 3, iKON held a concert at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition Ice Bsd City in front of 5,000 people as a grand finale to their “iKONCERT 2016 ‘SHOWTIME TOUR’”.
Kicking off the concert with “RHYTHM TA”, iKON set the party mood with “DUMB & DUMBER” and “SINO SIJAK”. Then, iKON performed “MY TYPE”, “TODAY”, “APOLOGY”, and “WAIT FOR ME” and sent their Jakarta fans into a near frenzy.
iKON also dressed up as girls and did various cover performances of girl groups. In total, iKON performed 22 songs for about two hours.
Earlier on in the year, iKON toured around Korea starting with their concert in Seoul on January 30-31. iKON then did their Asia tour and held concerts in Tokyo, Hyōgo, Chiba, Osaka, Taipei, Hong Kong, Chengdu, Nanjing, Shenzen, Shanghai, Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Jakarta. Although iKON is only a rookie that debuted about a year ago, the fact that they were able to hold such a long tour proves their huge popularity.
iKON will now go to Japan and start their Japan tour “iKON JAPAN TOUR 2016”. The first concert will be held at Makuhari Messe on September 10-11. iKON will hold a total of 16 concerts in Aichi, Osaka, Hyōgo, Fukuoka, and Tokyo, which are expected to draw a total of 176,000 people.
Meanwhile, iKON’s rapper BOBBY will release his solo single “HOLUP!” on September 7.
