[Issue IS] Two Reasons Why We Look Forward to Watching SECHSKIES on Weekly Idol
[일간스포츠=이미현 기자] SECHSKIES is to appear on Weekly Idol, a show for idol groups.
On November 15, YG Entertainment told Daily Sports, “SECHSKIES will appear on MBC Every1’s Weekly Idol. The shooting will take place next week. They have plenty of experience, so it will be a chance for the members to show off their charms.”
Breaking its 16-year hiatus, SECHSKIES released “THREE WORDS” on October 7 and made a grand comeback. It was MBC’s Radio Star that brought together all the members for the first time after the group’s breakup.
It was SECHSKIES’s first variety show appearance as a group in 16 years, and SECHSKIES members’ witty stories and jokes became a big issue. After the show was aired, SECHSKIES was ranked as the most searched word on portal sites.
Afterwards, SECHSKIES did not do any variety shows. However, they were determined to make the most of being at the center of the spotlight. SECHSKIES already did the shooting for SBS’s Running Man, and the episode will be aired on November 19.
Fans were excited upon hearing the news. But there is another good news for the fans, and that is SECHSKIES will be appearing on Weekly Idol. Weekly Idol is a must-do show for all idol groups, and SECHSKIES will become the oldest idol group to appear on the show.
The most popular segment of the show is “Random Play Dance” and “Double Speed Dancing”. Even younger idol groups have a hard time getting it right. Fans are curious about how well SECHSKIES, the oldest idol group, will do in these segments.
SECHSKIES members have already proved that they are capable of entertaining people on variety shows. They have had years of experience, so it is not hard for them to make viewers laugh. SECHSKIES is now ready to win back their old fame as the top idol group.
Meanwhile, SECHSKIES is making preparations to release its next album and has recently filmed a music video. Also, SECHSKIES will start a tour titled “2016 SECHSKIES ‘YELLOW NOTE’ TOUR” and hold concerts at the Daegu Expo on December 10 and at the Busan Bexco on December 24-25.
