[Exclusive] YANG HYUN SUK Going All Out to Release New Albums Next Year for New Four-member WINNER and iKON
[스타뉴스=길혜성 기자]YG Entertainment is making all-out efforts to release new albums for WINNER and iKON early next year.
Recently, BIGBANG, the leading group of YG, has released a new album, and the album is sweeping the charts in and out of the country.
Now that BIGBANG’s new album has come out, people are wondering who will be the next YG artist to release a new album. Earlier on, YG announced that the siblings-duo AKMU will make a comeback on January 3 next year.
Sources confirmed on December 15 that the next in line to make a comeback is WINNER and iKON.
An YG official told Star News, “Currently, YANG HYUN SUK is focusing on WINNER and iKON.”
He said, “In WINNER’s case, NAM TAE HYUN left the group recently, so he is preparing them to release an album as a four-member group. KANG SEUNGYOON, SONG MINHO, KIM JINHO, and LEE SEUNGHOON have each done this and that individually during their break. But when they don’t have other things to do, they spend all their time on making the new album so that they could release it early next year.”
“iKON has been touring in Japan for the last six months. Now, they have become a group that can do even arena tours. They will also release a new album early next year, and after that, the group will focus on doing promotions in Korea” added the official.
He also commented, “iKON’s new album will consist of songs that the members have made so far. There will be good news soon.”
YG hasn’t announced the official release date of WINNER and iKON’s new albums, but given that AKMU is to release its new album in January, their albums are expected to be released around February.
