iKON, finale for Japan arena encore tour… “Preparing for comeback with double title tracks”
[OSEN=선미경 기자] Group iKON has finished their Japan arena encore concert tour in a great success.
iKON rounded off their arena encore tour “iKON JAPAN TOUR 2016~2017” in a great success, at Yokohama Arena in Japan on March 20.
In the concert tour that was held at Osaka-Jo Hall, Fukuoka Marine Messe, and Yokohama Arena, total nine concerts entertained 120,000 fans. Since the team’s debut in Japan last year, the team has met total 442,000 fans in Japan for a year, setting an unprecedented record.
Yokohama Arena was filled with the enthusiasm of 13,000 fans waiting for the finale of iKON’s tour. When iKON members appeared upon the stage with a piano music that marked the opening of the show, the hall was filled with acclamation from the audience. By the end of the opening, B.I shouted “Yokohama, scream!” and iKON gave the performance of “DUMB&DUMBER”, the single that gave iKON the rookie of the year award and the best album award from Japan Record Awards.
Then, iKON continued with the enthusiasm by performing their hit songs including “SINOSIJAK REMIX”, “WHAT’S WRONG?”, as well as “LOVE ME” and “RHYTHM TA REMIX (Rock Ver.)”, the songs that have not been released in Korea.
On the day, iKON’s leader B.I talked about the news of iKON’s new tour and the team’s resolution for it by saying, “iKON’s dome tour in May and June has been confirmed. We’ll prepare new inspiring performances. Please look forward to it!” and also expressed his gratitude, saying, “It’s all thanks to you”.
Now that iKON has finished their Japan encore tour, iKON will appear in the “24th Tokyo Girls’ Collection 2017 S/S”, Japan’s biggest fashion festival, on March 25. Then, iKON will continue to meet local fans by hosting two dome tour shows in two cities, at Osaka Kyocera Dome on May 20 and at Saitama Seibu Prince Dome (currently MetLife Dome) on June 17.
iKON has been preparing for their comeback in Korea with double title tracks they wrote for themselves for a new album.
