TAEYANG Adds Concerts to His Japanese Stadium Tour for the First Time as a Foreign Artist
[스타뉴스=김현록 기자] BIGBANG’s TAEYANG will be doing more concerts for his first stadium tour in Japan.
Earlier on, YG Entertainment announced that TAEYANG will be holding concerts on July 8-9 at the ZOZO Marine Stadium in Chiba for his “SOL JAPAN STADIUM LIVE 2017” tour.
And on April 21, YG announced that he will be doing additional concerts on August 5-6 at Hotto Motto Field Kobe, meaning that he will be doing four concerts in two cities in front of 140,000 people.
YG commented, “This is TAEYANG’s biggest tour as a solo artist, and the first stadium tour in Japan by a foreign artist. So, this tour has a great meaning.”
TAEYANG released his first solo album “RISE [+ SOLAR & HOT]” in 2014, and the album ranked second place on Oricon’s weekly album chart, proving TAEGYANG’s popularity in Japan. Afterwards, TAEYANG went on a solo tour that consisted of 13 concerts in six cities and drew 70,000 people. Expectations are running high as the stadium tour will be his first big solo tour in three years.
