iKON’s New Title Song “B-DAY” is Composed and Written by B.I and BOBBY
[동아닷컴=홍세영 기자] On May 19, YG Entertainment posted a poster of “B-DAY”, one of the title tracks of iKON’s new album, on its official blog.
“B-DAY” is written by B.I and BOBBY and composed by B.I, YG producer AIRPLAY, and Kang Uk Jin.
“B-DAY” is a powerful hip hop song with a fast beat. The song well portrays the unique characteristics of each iKON member, and it is expected that iKON will put on a witty and energetic stage.
In the lyrics of the song, iKON members are described as bees. The song’s title “B-DAY” has two meanings: it is short for “birthday” and it also means the birthday of the bees. The part in the lyrics that is sung by B.I and goes “Let’s go and drink honey” clearly shows how witty the lyrics are.
The title of iKON’s first title track “BLING BLING” was revealed on May 18, and now the title of the second title track has been announced. Now, expectations are running higher ever for iKON’s new music and performance.
Meanwhile, it has been a year since iKON released a new song, and iKON will be actively promoting its new album, the concept of which is “NEW KIDS”. The album signifies a new beginning and a new style for iKON.
iKON’s new album “NEW KIDS:BEGIN”, the title tracks of which are “BLING BLING” and “B-DAY”, will be released at 6 PM on May 22.
