[스타뉴스=길혜성 기자] iKON is all ready to make a comeback in Korea after a one-year hiatus and hold its first solo dome concert in Japan.

At 5 PM on May 20, iKON will be holding a solo concert as part of the “iKON JAPAN DOME TOUR 2017” at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka, Japan. The concert will be the first concert of “iKON JAPAN DOME TOUR 2017”, and the next concert will be held at the Saitama Metlife Dome on June 17.

iKON’s Kyocera Dome concert is the group’s first dome concert since it officially debuted in Japan in January last year. Only the top musicians hold concerts at such a large concert hall that can accommodate from 40,000 to 50,000 people.

After its debut in Japan, iKON already went on two arena-level tours. Arena concert halls can seat up to 10,000 people. Drawing on its success in arena tours, iKON is now going on a dome tour in the shortest time after debut as a foreign act.

This demonstrates iKON’s huge popularity in Japan.

iKON will be holding two concerts, one at the Osaka Kyocera Dome on May 20 and the other at the Saitama Metlife Dome on June 17, for its “iKON JAPAN DOME TOUR 2017” and will meet a total of 90,000 fans.

Meanwhile, after its Kyocera Dome concert, iKON will fly back to Korea and release its new album “NEW KIDS: BEGIN” on May 22. It’s been a year since iKON released a new song. The last time was when the group released “#WYD” in May last year.

The title track of iKON’s new album is “BLING BLING”, and the song is written by B.I, BOBBY, and YG’s new music writer MILLENNIUM and composed by B.I and MILLENNIUM. The album marks a new beginning and a new style for iKON, and the group will be releasing a series of “NEW KID” albums throughout the year.
