BLACKPINK unveiled part of title track for comeback D-1 “Bold promotion”
[OSEN=엄동진 기자] Part of “As If It’s Your Last”, the title track of BLACKPINK’s new single album to be released tomorrow, has been unveiled.
On June 21 in the morning, YG Entertainment released a music video making film of BLACKPINK’s new song “As If It’s Your Last” on the company’s official blog (www.yg-life.com).
Most other singers usually release short 15-second teaser films before their new release or they use only the melody of their new songs without the voice as the background music for the teaser.
However, BLACKPINK’s teaser video lasts as long as 1 minute and 50 seconds. Not only the intro melody sung by JENNIE in the first verse but also the entire hook melody in the main part is unveiled in the video. Such bold promotion is drawing keen attention from music fans.
Notably, both of the melody and lyrics of the main part that goes “BABY hug me until I break~ Stop thinking nothing is difficult~ Kiss me like a lie~ As if I’m your last love~” leave a strong impression.
It is truly a shocking way of releasing a promotional spoiler.
“As If It’s Your Last” is known to be the fastest and most exciting song among BLACKPINK’s songs released so far. Its refreshing melody and catchy lyrics that beat the heat of the summer season like cold soft drink immediately catch listeners’ ears.
In the teaser video, JISOO says, “You can see a new BLACKPINK different from BLACKPINK so far. We prepared a cheerful, exciting, and cool song for this summer season. Please look forward to it”.
The members of BLACKPINK also explain the girly point dance of the new song, to raise fans’ anticipation for the new song, dance, and performance.
The video released today is an edited version of parts of the full video to be released on V-LIVE tomorrow at 8PM. BLACKPINK will directly communicate with fans in the V-LIVE broadcasting after unveiling the full music video.
“As If It’s Your Last”, BLACKPINK’s first new song in seven months, will be released on June 22 at 6PM.
