BOBBY releases his first solo album today (Sep. 14)… Sampler film of all the songs in it unveiled
[스포츠조선닷컴=정안지 기자] iKON’s BOBBY takes a historic first step as a solo artist today (Sep. 14).
Today in the morning at 9AM, YG Entertainment kicked off the countdown for the release of BOBBY’s solo album, on the company’s official blog (www.yg-life.com). YG also unveiled a “sampler film” of all the songs in BOBBY’s first solo album “LOVE AND FALL”.
The “sampler film” shows the highlight parts of the 10 songs included in BOBBY’s solo album, including “I LOVE YOU” and “RUNAWAY”, the double title tracks. The images of innocent and carefree BOBBY in LA in the United States where the music video was shot catch the eyes and ears along with the music.
“LOVE AND FALL” is an outcome that proves BOBBY’s limitless potential as a solo artist. Notably, BOBBY’s strong self-confidence in his first solo album filled with songs that he wrote by himself is the proof of his long-time hard work on the music.
▲ Diverse genres + tender vocal… “All-round player”
BOBBY has been well-known as a rapper with intense and quick rapping of low-toned voice. He has proven his talent and skills as a rapper with the great hit of songs “Connection#Hip-hop” and “Raise Your Guard and BOUNCE” that he performed in “Show Me the Money” and performances as a member of unit team “MOBB” with WINNER’s SONG MINHO.
The new album is expected to make BOBBY be fully recognized as an “all-round player” who can deal with diverse genres of music. Various genres including dance hall, ballad, and trap will be presented in BOBBY’s solo album.
While BOBBY showed his talent and status as a rapper in “Show Me the Money” and performances as iKON, his new album will present BOBBY’s tender and sentimental vocal that has not been unveiled so far.
BOBBY said, “There is more vocal than rap in the new album. Rap and hip-hop are something inseparable for me, but I wanted to become a musician who can deal with more diverse genres”.

BOBBY is the first one among the members of YG’s idol groups except for BIGBANG, who releases a full solo album. Such decision would not have been possible without YG’s solid confidence in the quality of BOBBY’s music. It is already an exceptional decision for YG to let BOBBY release a full album, not just a single, but BOBBY even wrote all the songs in his solo album on his own.
BOBBY asked for people’s interest in his first solo album, saying, “I want to enjoy creating music for my entire life. I enjoyed writing the songs in my new album and I really love every one of them. So, please don’t miss any one of them”. BOBBY’s first solo album “LOVE AND FALL” will be released today at 6PM, along with the music videos of “I LOVE YOU” and “RUNAWAY”, the double title tracks. At 5PM, one hour before the release of the album, BOBBY will host a special countdown live broadcasting on NAVER V-LIVE, to share episodes and behind stories of his new album with fans.
