The New ‘MIXNINE’ Preview Was Tough…9 Debut Group Trainees Are Reset…’Tears Everywhere’
[일간스포츠=황지영 기자] ‘Mix Nine’ is now on full-fledged survival mode.
In the Episode 2 preview which aired in JTBC’s official Social Media on November 1, the chosen trainees from the first agency tour audition took on a ‘One Day Mission’ in order to secure their spot in the ‘Debut Group’. A fierce competition was anticipated as the members of ‘Debut Group’ could change based on the results.
CEO Yang Hyun Suk is displaying an even harsher reality of survival shows in the new agency tour. As current idols challenged the audition, he made strong criticisms stating, ‘Absolutely a rejection”, “It’s a mess”, and “200th place out of 400 people”. Zion T who participated as a judge even took off his iconic sunglasses to really engage himself in the judging process.
Mystic Entertainment’s main producer Yoon Jongshin described the on-spot atmosphere by stating the show is a “cruel program” while anxiously watching his own agency’s trainees take the audition.
While trainees were starting to burst out in tears at the end of the preview, Yang Hyun Suk even stormed out of the room stating, “I will not choose anyone”. Yang Hyun Suk’s outburst and Zion T’s flustered reaction on camera is raising keen attention in the new tense episode.
‘MIXNINE’ is the first television program produced by Han Dong Chul since he joined YG, who is known for producing ‘PRODUCE 101’ and ‘SHOW ME THE MONEY 6’. Yang Hyun Suk will set out to 70 different entertainment agencies in Korea to discover 9 new stars among 400 trainees who will debut as a major K-Pop Idol Group.
The second episode of ‘MIXNINE’ is scheduled to air at 4:50 PM KST, Sunday November 5.
