‘Comeback D-2’ iKON Reveals New Album Sampler…‘Matured Music on the Way’
[마이데일리=권혜미 기자] While boy group iKON’s comeback is now 2 days ahead, the sampler for their new album has been revealed on February 4.
On February 4, YG Entertainment uploaded an album sampler video of iKON’s third mini album ‘i DECIDE’, through their official blog.
The video teased a total of 5 tracks. Although they were short, the catchy melody and lyrics made the people look forward to iKON’s upcoming performances as a 6-member group. The song ‘Ah Yeah’ which decorates the first track of the album expresses nervousness and excitement of the body. The snares and electric guitar sounds create a strong mood.
The title song ‘Dive’ has a repetitive country guitar riffs which stand out. The lyrical yet powerful melody sounds very catchy. The lyrics which state the courage of being able to do anything for the one you love impresses the listeners. The lyrics and performance of ‘Dive’ have been partially revealed before. The lyrics ‘I’m willing to be trapped in your world’ and ‘If you place me on the edge of a cliff, I’ll say I want to fly and fall’ in addition to the choreography which expresses fire with the members’ entire bodies gave a hint on what kind of mood we should expect on ‘Dive’.
The third track ‘All The World’ has a funky drum beat and synthesizer sounds which are charming. Through the lyrics ‘All the world is dyed with the girl you love’, the listeners will feel a bright and fluttering emotion. The next track, ‘Holding On’, contains attractive and unique vocals of each member. The lyrics which sincerely state the thoughts of being used to be alone after a breakup will make the listeners feel empathy.
‘Flower’ is the final track that has a special meaning for iKON. Member DK was only credited as a writer and composer of the song, but also mainly produced the song for the first time, which allows the people to realize iKON members’ ceaseless efforts. The lyrical melody of the song will clearly express iKON’s ballad emotions.
Meanwhile, iKON will release their album ‘i DECIDE’ on the 6th at 6 PM.
